Easily add additional serial ports to your system. The Multiport boards support most Windows and Linux operating systems and include 15,000 volt surge suppression eliminating blown ports. The Multi-4/LPCI includes a 4 port panel with DB9 connectors and is available in two models, RS232 and RS422/RS485. These boards are ideal for POS, hospitality, factory automation and building automation applications.
Connector Panel:
- The Multi-4/LPCI consists of a low profile communication card and connector panel with support for either RS232 or RS422/RS485. The connector panel has 4 DB9 female connectors to protect against the pins being electrically shorted. LEDs next to each connector provide visual communication status of the ports. It is constructed of aluminum and is suitable for industrial environments.
Slew-Rate Limit Control
- The Multi-4/LPCI is equipped with Slew Rate limit control and when enabled it minimizes EMI emissions which may cause data transmission errors. When Slew Rate is used maximum communication speed is 250Kbps. This functionality is recommended in many medical applications.
