Multi-8H/PCIe is a serial communication card that has a variety of additional functions necessary for serial communication and is highly reliable. the multi-8H/PCIe is used in various fields, such as office automation and factory automation.
High-speed Serial Communication
- Multi-8H/PCIe is equipped with the high-performance UART controller SB16C1058. SB16C1058 has the world’s largest 256-byte FIFO, which reduces the CPU overhead considerably, even when 8 ports are transmitting/receiving data at the maximum communication speed. This improves the transmission and reception performance dramatically. This prevents overrun errors during communication and provides smooth communication performance even in low specification systems.
Easy to Customize Pin Header Serial Interface
- The existing serial card provided a serial connection through a connector protruding from the PC, such as a DE9 connector or DB44. However, the Multi-8H/PCIe serial card does not have protruding connectors. Rather, it uses widely accepted and uses 2.54mm pin headers to provide serial communication signal input and output.
- It is a connection for a special purpose control device, not a general PC, and it was developed to communicate with various serial devices inside the enclosure. Connections are also very simple and can be made by purchasing a customized cable or a commercially available DE9 to 10 Pin Header cable (DB 9 Pin Female to 10 Pin [2.54 mm Pitch] Female Connector IDC Ribbon Cable)
